SKAKO Concrete makes it easier to produce sustainable concrete<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete has launched several green initiatives and set long-term goals that both affect the company’s main strategic areas and contribute to making customers‘ production more sustainable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reducing the use of cement in construction will have a major impact on global CO2<\/sub> emissions, which is precisely the primary purpose of SKAKO Concrete’s new sustainability programme ‚Green Plant Vision‘.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„We want to help our customers to achieve more sustainable production,“ says CEO Steffen Kremmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete is one of two divisions in SKAKO A\/S, and the sustainability programme is one of five overall strategic paths in the new business model that Steffen Kremmer has been at the forefront of developing since joining SKAKO two years ago. Since then, the company has improved its financial results and prepared the ground for taking on the more long-term work with sustainability and the circular economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have reached a level of development that allows us to focus on sustainability in general and green product development in particular. Only by fulfilling our duty in relation to the constant monitoring and reduction of our own environmental impact can we rightly say that we are contributing to the positive development. But it is not before we bring to market products that help our customers to produce more sustainably that we actually create value for the outside world, for our customers and for ourselves. It’s not that simple\u2026 but that is, in all its simplicity, what it’s all about,\u201d says Steffen Kremmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete is working on four projects within the field of sustainability: Sustainability culture, R&D, process optimisation and partnerships. In each of the projects, working groups have been established with employees from across the organisation who have engaged themselves on the basis of a distinct interest or specialist knowledge. This personal commitment is, according to group communications manager and overall project manager for the sustainability project Steen-Flemming Elmarlund, an important prerequisite for success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe entire project and strategy can only succeed with ownership, commitment and fulfilment of goals by the organisation and the individual. The project was born as a joint business management issue and an overall strategic initiative in SKAKO Concrete. Current trends, the topicality of the climate issue, and the fact that SKAKO Concrete has matured as a company to meet the challenges and intensify environmental efforts means that the time is right for an expansion and deeper anchoring of the plans and vision,\u201d says Steen-Flemming Elmarlund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, the strategy has been established by SKAKO Concrete as a ‚Green Plant Vision‘ and as part of a stated goal to reduce the environmental impact of the company\u2019s own production and, at the same time, provide sustainable products that enable customers to produce with the most sustainable concrete manufacturing plants in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSociety’s increasing focus on sustainability as well as our own desire to make the whole industry CO2<\/sub> neutral is developing rapidly these days \u2013 and SKAKO Concrete continuously takes initiative to form new partnerships and collaborations through and with various forums and specialists who share our ambition of improving the sustainability of the world\u2019s concrete production. Parallel to the process, we have e.g. also entered into a collaboration with the Confederation of Danish Industry on the project \u2018Climate-Ready Production Company\u2019, which i.a. aims to map our total direct and indirect CO2<\/sub> footprints. This increases momentum in the right direction,“ concludes Steen-Flemming Elmarlund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete g\u00f8r det nemmere at fremstille b\u00e6redygtig beton<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete har igangsat flere gr\u00f8nne initiativer og fastlagt langsigtede m\u00e5l, der b\u00e5de p\u00e5virker virksomhedens strategiske kerneomr\u00e5der og bidrager til at g\u00f8re kundernes produktion mere b\u00e6redygtig.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At reducere brugen af cement i byggeriet vil have stor betydning for det globale CO2<\/sub>-udslip, og netop d\u00e9t er hovedform\u00e5let med SKAKO Concrete\u2019s nye b\u00e6redygtighedsprogram \u2019Green Plant Vision\u2019 .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dVi vil hj\u00e6lpe vores kunder til en mere b\u00e6redygtig produktion,\u201d siger adm. direkt\u00f8r Steffen Kremmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete er den ene af to divisioner i SKAKO A\/S, og b\u00e6redygtighedsprogrammet er et af fem overordnede strategispor i den nye forretningsmodel, som Steffen Kremmer har st\u00e5et i spidsen for at udvikle, siden han kom til SKAKO for to \u00e5r siden. Siden har virksomheden forbedret de \u00f8konomiske resultater og udviklet en parathed til at tage fat p\u00e5 det mere langsigtede arbejde med b\u00e6redygtighed og cirkul\u00e6r \u00f8konomi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dVi har n\u00e5et et udviklingsniveau, hvor vi kan stille skarpt p\u00e5 b\u00e6redygtighed generelt og gr\u00f8n produktudvikling i s\u00e6rdeleshed. Kun ved at opfylde vores pligt i forhold til konstant overv\u00e5gning og reducering af vores egen milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkning kan vi med rette sige, at vi bidrager til den positive udvikling. Men det er f\u00f8rst, n\u00e5r vi bringer produkter til markedet, der hj\u00e6lper vores kunder til en mere b\u00e6redygtig produktion, at vi for alvor skaber v\u00e6rdi for omverdenen, for vores kunder og for os selv. Det er ikke s\u00e5 enkelt \u2026 men det er d\u00e9t, det i al sin enkelthed g\u00e5r ud p\u00e5,\u201d siger Steffen Kremmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKAKO Concrete arbejder med fire projekter inden for b\u00e6redygtighed: B\u00e6redygtighedskultur, R&D, procesoptimering og partnerskaber. I hvert af projekterne er der nedsat arbejdsgrupper med medarbejdere fra hele organisationen, der selv har engageret sig p\u00e5 baggrund af udpr\u00e6get interesse eller specialistviden. Netop det personlige engagement ser den overordnede projektansvarlige for b\u00e6redygtighedsprojektet, koncernkommunikationschef Steen-Flemming Elmarlund, som en v\u00e6sentlig foruds\u00e6tning for succes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dHele projektet og strategien kan kun lykkes med ejerskab, forpligtelse og m\u00e5lopfyldelse fra organisationen og den enkelte. Projektet blev f\u00f8dt som et forretningsm\u00e6ssigt f\u00e6lles ledelsesanliggende og et overordnet, strategisk initiativ i SKAKO Concrete. Tidens tendenser, klimasp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5lets aktualitet og det, at SKAKO Concrete er modnet som virksomhed til at im\u00f8deg\u00e5 udfordringerne og intensivere milj\u00f8indsatsen, betyder, at tiden er helt rigtig til en udvidelse og dybere forankring af planerne og visionen\u201d, vurderer Steen-Flemming Elmarlund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I f\u00f8rste omgang er strategien fastlagt i SKAKO Concrete som en \u2019Green Plant Vision\u2019 og et erkl\u00e6ret m\u00e5l om at nedbringe milj\u00f8p\u00e5virkningen fra egen produktion og samtidig tilvejebringe b\u00e6redygtige produkter, der s\u00e6tter kunderne i stand til at producere med de mest b\u00e6redygtige betonfremstillingsanl\u00e6g i verden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dHele samfundets tiltagende fokus p\u00e5 b\u00e6redygtighed samt vores eget \u00f8nske om at g\u00f8re hele industrien CO2<\/sub>-neutral er under kraftig udvikling i disse tider \u2013 og SKAKO Concrete inviterer l\u00f8bende til partnerskaber og samarbejder i og med forskellige fora og specialister, der deler vores ambition om en mere b\u00e6redygtig betonproduktion i verden.
